Callie has lost her job as an Editor at a magazine in Atlanta and had not found another before traveling home to Charleston for Thanksgiving. She gets flat tire while en route and a tall, handsome stranger appears to help her and once up close, she realize he is not a stranger after all.
John Cain returns home, looking to develop roots that he has never put down. He meets with a determined friend of his deceased mother and over dinner one night, she lends him a tape. After watching this tape numerous times, he sets out one evening to return it when he comes upon a woman on the road changing a flat tire and stops to help her. Is this divine destiny or not?
Janice Sims crafted a short story that is fulfilling and inspiring. A Christmas Serenade brings together two people with like interest that could be what brings them together or keeps them apart.
I give this story 4 stars. December 17, 2013
